Why are my Facebook ads getting clicks but no sales?
Short answer
Clicks without purchases usually point to a mismatch after the click: a slow or confusing landing page, a price or offer that doesn’t match the ad, weak trust signals, or broken tracking that hides the sales you are actually getting.
Work through it in this order:
- Check tracking first. Compare Meta-reported purchases with Shopify orders for the same days.
- Open the ad and the landing page on a mid-range Android phone over 4G. If the page takes more than three seconds, fix speed before anything else.
- Make sure the product, price and offer in the ad are exactly what the visitor sees first.
- Look at add-to-cart and checkout rates. Many adds-to-cart but few purchases points to checkout, shipping cost or COD friction.
- Review the audience the ad is attracting. Curiosity hooks can bring cheap clicks from people who were never going to buy.
