Should I bid on my own brand name on Google?
Short answer
Usually yes, at a low cost. Branded search ads protect your top position from competitors and marketplaces bidding on your name, and they are typically cheap. Just report them separately so they don’t inflate your overall ROAS.
Brand campaigns often show very high ROAS because those people were already looking for you. Keep them in their own campaign so you can see what your non-brand campaigns really return.
If nobody else bids on your brand and you rank first organically, you can test pausing brand ads and measure the effect on total sales.
